NY Times focuses on Growing Power’s Allen

Milwaukee – July 10, 2009 – In the world of journalism, there are few pieces of real estate more valuable than the space in the Sunday New York Times Magazine. So it is thrilling to announce that this venerable publication has devoted four prominent pages in its July 5 edition to telling the story of Growing Power founder and CEO Will Allen.

The article, titled “Street Farmer,” by author Elizabeth Royte, provides an excellent update on Allen’s efforts to bring better fare to the “food deserts” of America’s inner cities, where the lack of access to fresh vegetables in people’s diets can lead to severe health problems such as heart disease and diabetes.
