Announcement: Assistance available to grassroots leaders seeking to apply for the Community Food Project program (applications due November 19, 2009)

 

Growing Power, WHY and community-to-community mentoring partners will provide a clearing house for technical assistance services , CFP grant writing as well as substantial hands on capacity building Technical training and Assistance for leaders from community’s seeking to significantly impact low-income food security issues. We will prioritize scholarship and T & TA resources for projects that emerge from food deserts (both urban and rural) seeking to develop ‘ a food oasis’ and led by people of color and their allies from coast to coast.

We will also be providing scholarships to Growing Power weekend workshops and the Commercial Urban Agriculture Training Program, to assist leaders in developing sustainable projects and to identify other resources both financial and capacity building. Applications for these resources will be announced in December 2009.)
