Growing Power Trainings and Workshops: 2-day & 3-day Weekend Workshops From the Ground Up! Workshops and our new Aquaponics Workshops are intensive, hands-on trainings offering diverse groups the opportunity to learn, plan, develop, operate, and sustain community food projects. Project participants leave the workshop with improved skills that they can take back into their communities and pass on to others. These workshops are for both rural and urban projects. Daily Tours For Milwaukee: Growing Power tours of our Community Food Center in Milwaukee begin at 1:00 pm every day of the week. A tour of the facility costs $10.00 per person, and typically takes a little over one hour and half to complete. There are NO tours or volunteer events on the following days: Holidays : January 1-2, May 30, Nov. 23-27th and December 24-26. 2013 Workshops: January 11-13, February 15-17, March 15-17, April 19-21, May 17-19, June 15-16 For Chicago: Tours of the Chicago Iron Street Farm occur every Tuesday and Thursday (1:00 pm) and Saturday (10:00 am, 1:00 pm), year round. Tours of the Chicago Lights Urban Farm occur every Saturday, March through November at 10:00am. To schedule a tour or for groups of more than 10, please call 773.376.8882. Fees are $10.00 per person.
