Mitchell Street Farmers Market

Growing Power has partnered with the Freedom Now! Collaborative to manage the Milwaukee Southside Mitchell Street Farmers Market, which is based in one of Milwaukee’s most food insecure neighborhoods, i.e., in 2005, the Mitchell Street Farmers Market received the highest volume of WIC and FMNP checks in the state.  Now entering its third year of management, Growing Power is ensuring access to safe, healthy, affordable produce for hungry families, while at the same time supporting local sustainable agriculture. Events, education, nutrition information, and widespread community support make the Mitchell Street Farmers Market the "original" southside market. Visit the Mitchell Street Farmers Market to help support local agriculture. 

Located just west of the Historic Mitchell Street Neighborhood at the corner of Mitchell Street and Muskego Avenue.  WIC checks accepted. Stop by for fresh, local, healthy, affordable produce from Milwaukee area farmers.
