Milwaukee Day Care Gardens Project
Growing Power donates small gardens to 50 licensed Milwaukee day care facilities

Growing Power’s farmer, founder and CEO Will Allen wants Milwaukee children to get excited about growing and tasting REAL food. That’s why in 2013, we started donating tomato plants to up to 50 licensed Milwaukee day cares. Mr. Allen wants children to have access to healthy, sustainable food that’s grown without chemicals. We donate the plants and the soil, the children and the day care just need to take care of them and then enjoy the tasty benefits all summer! They don’t even need a garden or grass because we can plant directly on concrete, thanks to our nutrient rich compost that we grow ourselves.
