AQUAPONICS

3-Day Aquaponic Workshops – (Must Pre-Register)
An intensive hands-on workshop focused exclusively on aquaponic and urban aquaculture training. Topics include system design, water chemistry, fish husbandry, and plant selection. These workshops begin on Friday, the day before the standard 2-day workshop and participants will not have an opportunity to participate in the other breakout sessions.  Please be aware no video recordings are allowed.

Cost for the 3-Day Aquaponic Workshop: $600

Cost for the 1-Day Aquaponic Workshop: $200

The workshop price includes continental breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Lodging is not included.

You can change your registration date or transfer your registration to another person the weekend of registration. We have a no refund policy.

Growing Your Community Food System “From the Ground Up” Workshops

2017 Two-day Weekend Workshops

From the Ground Up! Workshops are intensive, hands-on trainings offering diverse groups the opportunity to learn, plan, develop, operate, and sustain community food projects. Project participants leave the workshop with improved skills that they can take back into their communities and pass on to others. These workshops are for both rural and urban projects. Please be aware no video recordings are allowed.

Workshops topics may include:

Participants may choose two of the following workshops to attend during the weekend.

  • Living Biological Systems: composting and vermicompost
  • Hoop-house construction
  • Year round micro-green production & marketing
  • Myoscaping
  • Community Project Planning
  • Beekeeping (May & June, weather permitting)
  • Aquaponics (pre-registration required, see details below)


Two-day Workshops offered on February 10-12, 2017:
